Through our Faith Promise financial commitments, we help spread the Gospel by supporting Brother Bob's Outreach throughout Wisconsin and the Philippines; Dunc & Mary Pfantz in their work with Wycliffe Bible Translators; Leadership International Resources; Local Outreach by our church deacons; the Youth for Christ ministry in the Waupun area through their Ministry Director, Scott Ritzema, and The Union; the Waupun Area Cadets boys' club; and the Waupun GEMS girls' club. For more information, see each of their write-ups from the left menu.
Our Faith Promise giving program is based on the principle that God knows our resources and our income for the year ahead and now. All of these resources are His, entrusted to us as His stewards. Every December each church member is asked to anonymously commit what they, in faith, believe God will make available to them for Kingdom work through these ministries. In prayer, we ask the Lord to lay on our hearts a burden for enlarging the borders of His Kingdom. Then, by faith in our Savior "who always cares for us," we make a generous commitment of our earthly goods for the spread of the Gospel to all people.
A Faith Promise commitment is between God and each individual person. It is a promise we have made to God and God alone. No one from the church will ever ask for it. If a member is unable to meet the commitment, no one will question that person about that.
Our members are also actively involved in our Vacation Bible School held each summer in cooperation with Bethel CRC and our St. Ben's Meal Project in cooperation with First Reformed Church each March and October.
