Linguists/Translators with the Kuman language group since November 1988, the Pfantzes are located in the Simbu Province in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea where there is a language group of approx. 120,000 Kuman speakers.
Working with a team of national translators, they translated the New Testament into Kuman. It was typeset in late 2007 and is being printed in Korea.
While waiting for it to be returned to PNG, they are working on strategies for effective distribution and use of the translated scriptures, as well as helping other translation teams. Lord willing the dedication of the Kuman New Testament will be June 27, 2008.
